Down south visiting my nephew and he wanted to show me the car showrooms. Has a nosy in Aston Martin Reading and Lamborghini Reading (same location) chatting to the youn sales lass at Lamborghini was pleasant, no stuffiness, just happy to talk cars. Some nice looking stuff including a Reuelto that had had everything that could be done in carbon optioned and painted in an original Muira bright yellow.

The Astons were all typically green or matt blacks but got chatting to the young in sales guy who asked if I'd like to see in the other room that wasn't generally open to customers as they had a Valhalla in there. Lovely to admire the detail close up, couldn't look inside as it was a customers car. The biggest thing I took away was how accommodating the staff were to someone who clearly had no intention of buying just wanted to talk cars.

I haven't done that since I was very young, but the Perth motor mile road was one that we passed on the way to visit relatives and we did stop and get Porsche brochures circa 993 models and they could not have been kinder to a 13 year old ish that was spraffing pap about cars.

I genuinely thought I had talked my Mum into trading in her Polo for a 928... :D

Glasgow Motor show in 1993 was completely different, the premium stand people had no interest letting student me anywhere near their stock.
