I'll watch that later, thanks for the link. The two presenters are from Top Dead Center and create some pretty interesting content.

I haven't watched it all yet. Absolutely awesome to have the space to house that in your garden at home, but £50k in 1996 is the equivalent of £104k today. He's ended up with what I suspect is a fairly niche property from a resale perspective...... :? Is that folly, or a lesson in cunning inheritance tax avoidance (none of the cars attracting any IH of course).

Huh? They're still assets so would attract IHT, but not CGT as they are wasting assets.

Just at RPI / whatever ? I imagine house prices have done a lot more than double in that time.

That's my understanding too.

I don't think his storage facility is at his house. From what was said in the video, he lives in (or near) Rotherham. Property is dirt cheap there.

Some is, but you are correct - not all.

I should probably watch videos before I comment on them, eh?

Yes I expect 50k house is 500k now.

Those inflation calculators are a load of tosh.

I don't think ANY house in Rotherham is worth £500K

I'm only slightly joking - this is what £450K gets you in the place I grew up in.
