You suck.

Your seats are always broken. This trip was a trio, broken headrest, broken USB chargers and if you breathed near the headphone jack it caused static at a vokume Spinal Tap would suggest you calm it down.

Luckily the food was ok...... nope ran out of the chicken, then you getting weak plastic cups which slide about your oddly simply cleaned tables.

In Premium economy the lady on my right was imprisoned as when the seating front leans back she couldn't do a Mr Soft and get out of her seat. So I had to help her stand on her seat to get out.

The breakfast was awful, basically 5 beans, a smishy sausage and boiled mushrooms.

I wish I was able to book my own flights with work as BA have been noticeably worse than every other long haul airline I don't understand why it's tolerated. We all complain about them.

I at least got my luggage this time though so that's 3 of the last flights I have received it.

The only saving grace is terminal 5 is pretty slick now, landed at 04:55 and in the taxi at 05:35

I'm not sure they read this forum TBH.

I'm rarely on a long haul these days, but on Euro flights I'm amazed how variable the main companies seem to be.
In one direction you'll get a brand new plane, happy staff, decent seats and on the way back a rattly cabin that feels like it was last refurbished in 1995 and slow food with a lack of choice because they didn't fully restock.

They really seem to have gone downhill a lot and as far as I see - for Economy at least, they're setting the bar at "Ryanair" levels. I used to use them a lot for long haul, back when I travelled and they were great. but not now

Its very variable. Often on different legs of the same journey.

Trip to the US on business earlier this month and the food was great one way and poor on the way back - I guess that's probably dictated by the available catering at the departure airport.

Planes are very mixed as well as you say - some routes still use layouts from the 90s which are knackered, whilst on the way back from a European trip last year we got an Airbus that was actually under a week old!

If you have the displeasure of flying AA however then everything is relative! Middle eastern airlines are far and away the best but not worth having to stop over in Dubai or Abu Dhabi if you're not actually travelling there.

Delta and American were always shite - I mean charging $5 for headphones on transatlantic flight. I only used them to make getting through O Hare on my way to Des Moines easier.

I remember one in particular, I think it was American, the captain came on the radio to give his usual spiel. "Travel time to Chicago is 8 hours, weather is fine on route and none of the in flight entertainment screens on the right side of the plane are working - enjoy your flight"
