I had no idea who he was, but his demise has been caught on camera, and the video appeared on my Insta feed
Car crash. 296GTS reportedly, although I am not sure.
I recognised the location immediately - I am certain it's the same place as a Subaru crash vid from a few years back. Tight left turn immediately on the exit of a (relatively) dimly lit tunnel, so it catches people out.
Warning - video of fatal accident - no pressure to view this if you are uncomfortable Spoiler

That Subaru driver was lucky - though unlucky first because surely falling off the edge was avoidable even once he'd started sliding?
RIP to the poor Ferrari driver. Did he hid the end of a concrete barrier? Horrible.

Looks like it - section of new concrete barrier fitted as the stone wall behind it was damaged? Or keeps being damaged?
Yeah, saw the video earlier.. he was a very significant player in the Gaming industry so I knew his name.
Well remembered about the Scooby

or at least one more go in the gulag.
Sad news, dumb way to die, especially when you have a passenger too.

Somehow I completely missed this. How shit.
(And I assume it’s the passenger that’s pulled out - still attached to their seat )

Surely a sign at the tunnel entrance would be sensible - "warning, sharp turn on tunnel exit" or similar, given it's probably happened more than a few times.
I thought they were dragging parts of the car, until it was commented that it was the seat with someone in

Doesn’t even look that tight of a bend, assuming the limit is probably 50mph.
Put as many signs up as you like but there’s always a chance a bellend is going to go way too fast and crash.
I’m afraid I have little sympathy when the driver is entirely the cause of their own demise. I feel for innocent passengers or bystanders who get caught up in it and the people left without a friend or loved one.

I could never drive like that if I had a passenger, it looked as if he didn’t know the road at all.

Hits a bit for me. I know it touches on his accomplishments in the BBC article, but lead dev on medal of honour allied assault, left to start infinity ward, creates CoD. CoD4 Modern warfare is still my favourite game. Gets forced out by Activision after MW2 and goes on create titan fall, some Star Wars games and apex legends. Then moves to Battlefield and resurrects that series with BF6. Obviously very gifted at what he did, and feels like a massive loss to gaming.
