New 10mph Speed Limits

Islington have introduced a temporary 10mph speed limit due to road works. It’s about the same as the average speed in London anyway
But no, please no. 10mph is painful especially when it’s quiet with no one else around. And this won’t be temporary either.

And you know 1 in 8 people will be going under the limit because they’re one penalty away from a ban!

And unenforceable against bicycles which can easily exceed it, even if not e-assisted. I hope the slow cars will keep out of the way of the cyclists and not hold them up

@Jobbo the sign quite clearly instructs cyclists not to overtake

I drive up there most week days to drop the kids off at school - I will be overtaken by every bike if I try to stay at 10mph - I'll report back!
