I knew my bank card was expiring, went into my banking app and saw a new card listed, ooh must have a new one on the way!

Clicked to add it to my Apple Pay wallet.

Oh, now my old cars has vanished. I thought you had to use the actual new card before it was activated.

So now I have no card, can’t get cash can’t get petrol unless I go when the kiosk is open. Don’t actually know if apple pay will work yet, and don’t want to try unless I’m stuck unable to pay for something

Apple Pay will work before you receive your physical card.. does it have a start date on the card info (in your app?

I got a new card in September and my Apple Pay worked during the cross over. I also didn't have to update any details in the Apple Wallet. The only change I had to make was my autofill card details. I had to amend the new end date and 3 digit code.

Bloody hell, that's pretty significant!

Thankfully I was able to pay for my lunch (and yesterdays tab) with Apple Pay. Have also dug out a credit card just in case I need a physical card anywhere
