Can't see evidence he's dead, but definately critical. I've unfortunately seen the footage and it's fucking horrible, don't go on Twitter :( :(

Shot in the neck, fingers crossed it’s fixable in some way, bloody awful. No-one should be shot for being a liberal or conservative, it’s just a different view, no-one is wanting others dead.

Dave!

He believed empathy was a bad thing, and he publicly stated that a few gun deaths a year were worth it for the right to bear arms. So respecting his own beliefs I will not give a shit about his passing.

I’ve seen several references and shorter clips of that already this evening.

Note: video was posted a couple of years ago

Never heard of him before this but difficult to feel bad about him after seeing all these clips surfacing.

Yeah, this. 'A few deaths are worth it as a cost of the 2A'.

Your wish is granted.

I feel sorry for his kids, because no child should suffer the loss of a parent like that, but that's it.

Don't forget that the uni he was speaking at recently changed it's local laws, allowing for open carry of firearms on campus, making it far, far harder to stop people who are walking around with a firearm because they're officially allowed to do that now and you can't just stop someone who you see with a firearm in case they're allowed to have it. That would be communism!

Oh by the way, whenever I imagine a south US voice talking about the 2A I always then hear in my head that clip from Jim Jefferies where he mocks the same...

"You can't change the second amendment".

It literally is an amendment. Of course you can change it.

Given what's happening in America, I think that's exactly what people do want. Everywhere. Especially if you're Christian and right leaning...

It's a good distraction for trump, his fans won't be so focused on his failure to protect Qatar (staunch US ally) from Israel and the Epstein stuff.

This was my first thought too

If all these open carry, 2nd amendment, assault rifle owning, MAGA loons can't protect one of their own, then it rather makes a mockery oh the whole "good guy with a gun" justification...

Quite the price to pay for having controversial views. I'd like to think that out of this situation there would be a rethink around gun rules. Unfortunately it seems the most likely outcome is to keep the existing rules and get rid of those who don't agree :(

Saw this on insta earlier - speculation around possible sniper from a couple of hundred metres away? I have no idea if this is genuine.
