Body Colored Wheels

I get really excited about body coloured wheels.and don't get why we don't see more of it.
My interest was piqued in the late 80s as there were a few Alfa's locally with them, notably a Red 164 owned by my best mates Dad with Red centres and polished rims.
Went to Cardiff Uni in 95 and regularly saw a Speed Yellow 968 like below which I thought was perfect and still feel the same now
I noticed in the Cayman post that it's still a cheap option but pretty much never ticked!

Works on classic American muscle cars
But not a lot else for me. Certainly nothing modern- I don’t class black or white wheels as body coloured before anyone shows me a championship white civic

Mercedes W123 hub caps painted body colour look amazing.
Usually I’d prefer a silver rim rather than body colour all the way to the tyre as with the 968 above but they are quite iconic on that. And a white car with white wheels usually looks amazing.

See my comment above- they’re just white cars that happen to have white wheels- they’re not quite the same white

If my 968 CS was in a standard CS colour, then I'd definitely have body coloured wheels.
I originally wanted a Guards red or Maritime Blue CS.

They really work for some reason on the 968. Big boss at a place I worked at in the 90’s had a new white CS with decals and white wheels. It looked the tits.

Yep, Black wheels on Black cars work but I don't think other colour combos work.
