Sounds like an electric car, in that you can't really hear it at all

It looks like one of those Lotus Elise GT1 cars with a 12cilindri light bar on the front.

Liked Ben Collin's review as explains the details really well.

Well they appear to have done a pretty good job of hiding those inspirations. The looks don't really grab me.

I did however watch the Harris vid.... the "no bodywork" car on display looked just incredible.

Performance numbers are barely even fathomable (0-125mph in 5.7 secs??), and the drive appears to be pretty amazing.

I do like it. But the performance capability is so high you need a track, a lot of skill, and a lot of experience and with over 1000kg of downforce - not insignificant bravery to get anywhere close to it's abilities. [I know it's marketed as a road car, but the worlds biggest understatement is that you are not going to scratch the surface of it's performance window on-road]. Even then the track will need to be lightly populated or only filled with other hypercars, or you are going to spend most of your time frustrated.

So it's great.

But almost 100% irrelevant (to me).

Which is a shame.

It’s brilliant and everything, but the customer cars will be considered high mileage if the have over 70miles on the clock. They’ll end up in a collection to gather dust

Just watched the FoS Thursday highlights and it had the F80 back to back with the GMA T50S in a hilarious mismatch of desirability.

That V12 sounds otherworldly.

Excellent vid from CH, maybe overdid the drone slightly, but still a fine job.

As for the car, it looks different from so many angles that I'd need to see it in the flesh. Like stuff like the engine cover among other bits from the rear and side. Vid briefly showed a black one that looked ace.

On balance I quite like it, would I buy one if I could? My money would probably go elsewhere, but I'd consider it.

Got halfway through CH review and turned it off. Uninteresting.

You also know that no-one can really lay into it even if they wanted to as you'll be persona non-grata for all Ferrari future events.

Peak car arrived in about 2014 - most brands since have been on a downward spiral, with a few notable exceptions.

The videos have made me slightly more interested in the car, but it's a sense of admiration for the engineering of it rather than any lusting after it. The styling has kind of grown on me, but if I had the money, there's a dozen other, older Ferraris I'd rather own.

I thought some of the drone tracking shots on track were stunning, some of the best I've seen for car reviews.

I think there’s an element of age coming into it for me. Peak Ferrari for me was the Enzo. I was lucky that a neighbour had one for a few years and used it as a daily driver. Every day at 7:30am it exploded into life and then he floored it down the main road which back then didn’t have speed bumps.
Never really cared for the LaFerrari. Don’t really care about hybridisation. I do like how the F80 looks and no doubt it will naturally become more attractive as it ages. Their next hyper car may be a full EV then I’ll be fawning for the F80.

Nah the laF is also V12 howling glory - I’d have have that over an Enzo just as a refinement and technical exercise (though super impressed someone was dailying one!).

This F80 is V6 garbage - unless you’re a boring max apex velocity c.nt or a desperate ‘I’ve got the new Ferrari’ I can’t see why you’d have any interest in one of these.

Because the v6 is that much lighter than a v12, and that all feeds back into making the car more agile, responsive etc.

I didn't like the F80 on reveal, but I've really grown to like what I've seen in the videos. Interesting that when the holy trinity were launch a decade or whatever ago, Harris (and all the reviewers) were really zoned in on the hybridization as a main talking point, talking about torque-fill etc etc. Now the hybrid barely gets a mention and until late in the vid i didn't even really the extent of where the motors were etc.

I need to see the W1 next.

Worth mentioning that it’s 40mm longer than a Stagea and a foot wider, so the little V6 isn’t really helping with packaging.

It helps with the ground effects packaging. Back half of the car is a diffuser
