titanium exhausts

Obvious advantage of titanium is reduced weight. Duh.
But is what this dude is saying true? (In relation to heat-cycles causing problems - I don't care if it was "never intended as an exhaust material").
Does it only matter if you have "pie-cut" sections welded together as opposed to mandrel bends? Obviously Ti is harder to bend....
