Tyre analysis has moved on. They are now more like bicycle wheels.
Excellent - and I see someone in the replies linked the video I posted above.
The TPMS point must surely prove the argument wrong. If you have close to zero above atmospheric pressure and the tyre is almost flat, the rolling diameter of the wheel and tyre is going to be obviously smaller than when the tyre is pumped up.
