It's nice having friends and it's also nice driving Porsches

After last year when Jobbo invited me to Silverstone to rag the shit out of a couple of Porsches at the Porsche experience, I've just been given a voucher to drive a Caymen round Thruxton from a friend who won it but had already paid for that experience. She offered it out on FB and I was first to bagsy it. It's only 3 laps but should be a laugh.

Three laps? Right, no warm up or cool down. Try to watch some videos before you go to learn the track

I downloaded Thruxton into Assetto Corsa and have been blatting round in a virtual 718 S so I know which way it goes.
It's much more fun in an F3 car, though.
Warm up is just spinning up the rears and stamping on the brakes repeatedly, yeah?

Not allowed to rev the engine past 4000 revs either
Enjoy it Jimmy! Thruxton is a decent fast track

I drive a diesel. 4k is the redline in all cars, isn't it?

Thruxton is a great circuit, and my local(ish) circuit. I seem to remember one particularly fast, buttock clenching right hander.
edit: ah, yes, 1m20 in. It's the trees and barrier in the distance on the outside that you don't want to be distracted by

That one is bad enough in VR. The crest in the middle of the corner is a bastard.
