They never fit :x

Because I change sport each year, and I only wear a suit a couple of times a year, it’s a lottery whether any of them will fit. Going from skinny yoga guy to marathon runner to calisthenics to lifting weights to triathlon to running and back to calisthenics again means that my legs and shoulders are constantly changing size.

Squeezed into one today and feel like I’m going to lose circulation to several limbs every time I move

Like most people, I no longer fit into my best suit because I have got fatter, not healthier...

I don't think that's what Bruce Lee meant when he said "be like water"

I had to try and squeeze into my not so old suit recently. How on earth I didn't bust the waistband I have no idea - I guess two catches and a button is sturdy enough!

I wouldn't mind but I've probably only put on half a stone since I bought it. However, I bought it not long after the boy arrived, and whilst I've not put a huge amount on, I'd say my body shape has changed considerably. Across the shoulders in particular. Add in that it was a slim fitting suit and...

Unfortunately for me my weight yo yos quite dramatically, plus I have to wear suits regularly. Including my wedding suit I think I have four different sizes, most of which are too big or small at any given time

Add to that our house had a moth infestation when we bought it seven years ago and despite replacing all the carpets with synthetics, they never completely disappear so leaving suits in a cupboard unworn for a long period is a dangerous (and often expensive) game. :(

Maybe this is simply ‘formalwear sucks’ hoodies ftw

Anyway, I’m sitting in the competition appeal tribunal today listening to Apple’s defence and I’ve got pins and needles in my left arm

I never wear suits as I look like I’m going to court. I’m wearing a kilt and jacket as part of my mate’s wedding and it’s my first time in formal wear in maybe a decade

i do like the way formal clothes have gone from so many workplaces. i used to wear suits or at least trousers, shirt & tie every day to sit at my desk.

i don’t even know where id find a tie in my house now and i haven’t worn a suit in years. i reckon it would still fit though!

I'd hate to have to decide what to wear to work every day. A suit is great - it means I don't just chuck on my decorating trousers absent-mindedly

6’ 6” arm span
20.5” neck
54” chest
40” waist
5’ foot 11” tall
33” inside leg

Wah wah you can’t find suits, mine are all modified as Mother Nature could never decide if I should be tall, short or fat 😂

For the larger gentleman Skopes is pretty good, a decent range of sizes. Bad Rhino stuff doesn’t tumble dry well, the Built Different stuff is proving excellent though.

I had the tie dilemma last week after squeezing the suit on! We built new wardrobes 2-3 years ago when we did up the bedroom. I must have put all my ties somewhere, but genuinely no idea where that may be. I had 1 in the wardrobe and that had to do, clash or no clash.

Last suit I bought was in 2014 for a funeral. Wore that same suit in 2015 for another funeral and then again for a wedding in 2017  .

Bloody hate the things and glad I don't have to wear one everyday.

I've no idea if my suits still fit. I know one of the jackets do, but no clue about the rest.

Will probably have to invest in new jeans soon as I'm a fair bit slimmer than a couple of years ago, and they slide down. Maybe I should get suspenders.

Suits are like smoking, they look great, but using them every day is a terrible idea.

I last wore a full suit when I got married in 2012, that definitely won’t fit now  I’m probably about 3-5 stone heavier these days

If I wasn’t 5 inches taller we’d have similar proportions

Exactly, it’s a body full of rounding errors for me 😂

Suits are like smoking - they were cool in the 60s.
