There's only one thing worse than being talked about, and that's not being talked about. The Daily Mail thrives on controversy. Good work Gavster; you;ll go viral before you know it. Start an Onlyfans now to capitalise.

FWIW getting hate in the comments/chat was one of first major things I had to get my head around as a creator. TikTok does a lot of AI moderation to remove offensive comments, but facebook comments are like the Daily Mail, usually a few people calling me a cunt. Luckily I've been a member for the evo forum so had a certain level of understanding in that area lol

I expect we'll all get a cheque in the post soon for our consultation fees over the last twenty years

I can’t read the daily mail so I’ll assume Gav in some way has a sad compo face and now everyone is calling him a cunt.

Dave!

@Gavster excellent avocado video, although you've failed to offer the guac to us.

I was in Portugal at the end of last year, apparently it was their worst drought for some time. But driving from Faro to Seville there’s just avocados (amongst other stuff like oranges) non stop. It was like our equivalent of an apple orchard. Tonnes of the stuff just too ripe and falling off trees etc.
You’d think a deal could be done as it’s slightly closer than South America.

Thanks bro 👊 glad you enjoyed it! It’s a bit niche but fun to make! Will ensure I do mail order deliveries with the leftovers next time

Wonder if there was an issue with the crop because of the drought? Considering they’re so water intense and it was a drought maybe there was an issue. Otherwise it seems wild to leave them.

There's enough science/accuracy to deliver the message, and your style carries through. Could maybe have spent another 29 seconds (no more) hammering a bigger nail in the avocados aren't the reason Gen Z can't buy property nonsense, although I get that you're first and foremost a food themed creator.

Yeah I only realised that when I was editing, because the property affordability angle was just a hook to talk about avocados for 10 minutes 😁 and I perhaps misguidedly assumed everyone realises it's a boomer dogwhistle. The video was originally going to be way longer but I'm not sure YouTube or my patience for editing is ready for that 😂 it takes about 1 hour of editing per minute of finished video, that one took a solid 8-10 hours. In the first 24 hours it's done 1k views so I've earned around a fiver so far, and videos usually slow down after the first 2-3 days, but I reckon it's evergreen and could keep turning over views for years.
