Haven't been fortunate to drive any of the special edition Ferraris yet, but I agree with you both on preferring Spiders ordinarily, but not for the special edition versions. Seems contrary to the brief.
Having loved the drives I've had in the 488, I'm pretty sure the 488 Pista would be my perfect car, bar the lack of a boot ("frunk"?) making it almost unusable.
I can see how that would work.
