Who has one and how do you rate it? I bought a Playseat Challenge around 18 months ago and while it’s very good for the money I’m after something a bit more substantial.

The playseat has too much “sproing”
I have the Xrocker XR Chicane seat and stand - it’s pretty good but I had to mod it to get more rake on the seat base.
ScottA has a GT Omega setup that is even more solid. Nice kit.

Think Dan made his own.. probably twice as strong and half the weight if he’s got plans and you have the time

Yeah, exactly that, it’s great at 80% effort but I find if I’m really mashing the brakes it will lift off the floor. I’m consider the Playseat Trophy, fairly similar but a solid frame design. Reviews seem to rate it highly.

I built a copy of the simlab P1 rig as they helpfully put the drawings on their website with all the dimensions on. Its super sturdy.

Yes but you’ve got magic hands and unless you’re going to build one for me that idea is out!

I'd happily build you one, i'll price it up if you're keen? It was pretty simple to assemble to be fair.

If you can price it up that would be great.

I’ve got a racing rig too! Actually, I’ve been using Playseat Challenge for some time now, as you mentioned it’s affordable but if you want to go to something more solid I’d recommend GT Omega ART or Next Level Racing. These are slightly more rigid and have provision for much better adjustment. Quite a bit of an upgrade from the Playseat, of course.

I’ve got the GT Omega ART. Originally had the challenge seat but I wanted something more solid. The fold away was handy but I didn’t need it.
The ART is really good. Solid and comfortable. Can play for hours with it.

I wanna try them one day, probably with a HANS device on and gloves... Just to be the ultimate dickhead.
