Let’s be careful out there people.

Plenty of CG’s drive them of course, but I suspect this may be related to the number of NCG’s who now have access to significant power/performance for the first time in their driving careers?

Possibly, but the second highest brand for fatality was Kia, who aren't known for their power. The worst offending Teslas were the SUVs. My guess is that they are just more likely to be bought by morons.

Perhaps designing a family saloon that can do 0-100mph in 4.5 seconds (from Autocar) that appeals to the 'watch this' person isn't good.
Maybe shows the types of people that buy certain cars. Would be interesting to see if Taycan's have a similar issue. I suspect not as I'd have thought more likely bought by enthusiasts.

The source data is here
https://www.iseecars.com/most-dangerous ... udy#v=2024
Top ten...
1. Hyundai Venue
2. Chevvy Corvette
3. Mitsubishi Mirage
4. Porsche 911
5. Honda CR-V hybrid
6. Tesla Model Y
7. Mitsubishi Mirage G4
8. Buick Encore GX
9. Kia Forte
10. Buick Envision
I think Porsche and Chevvy probably also attract people who can't handle the power. And the SUVs driven by people who can't handle the size!

I stand corrected!

I had a Model Y follow me from Cheltenham til I got on the A419 to Swindon, where he flew past me then dropped back to 65mph and kept speeding up and pulling out in front of me anytime I got near him so I couldn’t overtake. This fucking weird behaviour carried on all the way to the M4 where I just let him go.
I then caught him up at the A34 junction to Newbury. It was still dark so he hadn’t seen it was me. I overtook him heading into town. This was the catalyst for some bizarre and really dangerous manoeuvring. He overtook the lorry I had just passed and undertook me at fuckknowswhat speed and then swerved in front of me to avoid piling into the stationary traffic he hadn’t seen or accounted for then jumped the lights and fucked off.
He’d obvs taken issue with me for some reason and I have no idea why, but it was clearly worth risking his life for!

Maybe it's confirmation bias but loads of Tesla's seem to be driven by dickheads, tailgating and aggressive driving. Same as Range Rovers.
But I was having this conversation other week with a mate about how many very, very fast EV's are in the hands of people who've not owned, driven or even wanted a high performance car....especially as quite a few are also RWD.

Teslas also seem to be the cars I see which are least likely to use indicators. They do seem to be owned by a considerable number of dickheads.
I’ve also seen someone come close to an enormous accident in one. They turned left at a roundabout and had the wildest lurchiest highest speed fishtail I’ve ever seen. I was expecting it to fire into the central reservation beside me.
Got knows how they managed to get it out of shape like that!

There's a peculiar T-junction near me where you can only come out for the side road and turn right, despite the fact it's turning onto a 2 way road. (it's to stop said road being used as a cut-through). The junction in question is also on a corner.
I came round the corner a few weeks ago to find a Model 3 on the WRONG SIDE of the road, as he decided to turn left against the junction, but had to be on the wrong side of the road to do so. He then pissed off at 80mph+ in the 40 limit up to the next housing estate. Shame I wasn't in my wife's Yeti as it has a dashcam. Utter cocksocket.

Don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but there seem to be a high proportion of Tesla's with shocking headlights or headlight aim. I mean, I reckon they're even worse than JLR for it.
As for the drivers - it's one of those cars that I'm instantly paying special attention to, along with Honda Jazzes (for different reasons obvs). Certainly around here a lot of the drivers seem to be absolute spanners.

Ah, the reason for Elon's cost-cutting removal of an indicator stalk becomes clear!

And yes - I constantly think they have full beams on but it becomes apparent that they haven't when they get closer, so the beams are aiming upwards slightly. Hopefully they'll all fail MOTs. Both Model 3 and Model Y seem to suffer; I never see a Model S or Model X these days.

It's because they don't have automatic self levelling, so the aim drifts up or down after a while. Also going up hills it won't compensate. Which is odd as I thought bright lights had to have it but turns out that's only xenons.

I'm thought any non-halogen (IE very high output) light has to have auto self-levelling? Xenon, LED etc.

Well I also thought they had to have washer jets on high output lights but they don't. Which also doesn't help.

Well that's a load of shit. No wonder complaints about blinding headlights are on the rise if auto levelling isn't required.
