SecretSupercarOwner (not dead)
Re: SecretSupercarOwner (not dead)
It's also a wrong opinion
Re: SecretSupercarOwner (not dead)
As much as I like (some) modern Mclarens, they sound as dull as a household appliance.Ferrari manage to combine aesthetic and aural appeal with their function
Re: SecretSupercarOwner (not dead)
Yep the noise is somewhat agricultural which is a major negative for me. P1 sounds better but more whooshy whistles and chuffs from the turbots than induction howl or exhaust. LaF easily the best sounding out the 'trinity'.

Compared to the F40 and the XJ220 it’s not good looking, or even exciting looking at all. I’m not saying it isn’t the better car but I grew up with posters of Countachs and the like and the Macca is comparatively boring.

Paradoxically I thought it's superb-looking for pretty much the same reasons. No reason to be shouty.

To me it looks like a kit car version of a supercar.

I can wholeheartedly suggest you don't buy one then

Oh! You could fit one of these that I saw flapping and flailing around today

I particularly like the probably useless angle of attack too. I’ll be sure to replicate that.

The regular F1 does look too tame (and quite dated now) for my liking too, the F1 GTR is just perfect and still looks like something designed this decade.
How about not having a sig at all?

Oh God, I agree with Mito Twat. I’m clearly wrong.

No, he is correct.
Re: SecretSupercarOwner (not dead)
All the modern ones look a little dull to me except the P1. Though I do live round the corner from a dealer so see a LOT of the “normal” ones.
Re: SecretSupercarOwner (not dead)
Really now....
Seriously, it was something we debated as it wasn't initially on my list. It is one option that can't be retrofitted and just about all the owners are checking the box for. Net net, even though it might seem a bit daft, it is pretty much becoming a must have on a Senna.
From an actual practical standpoint, living now in a place where you can fry an egg on a car hood in the summer, it will be a nice option to have when taking the car out on the track.

did I read correctly that it’s $6700 for this nice option?SSO wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 1:10 pmReally now....
