Just had excellent forked lightning followed almost immediately by a kaboom! Sun back out and baking again now.

A few years ago we had lightning strike the field at the bottom of our garden. I just happened to be looking out of the window, no delay between the flash and very loud sharp bang. The house alarm control panel emitted a puff of smoke and the sirens went crazy. No other damage luckily.

Around here they're still saying water levels are higher than average for this time of year. Doesn't surprise me too much as all the ditches were full and the land sodden until well into April.

Hopefully it freshened things up for those who had it. The wind's getting up here, may be some more coming in.

I used to love a good thunder and lightning show...

... until a mate took a direct hit and was dead before he hit the ground...😕 - not so much of a fan anymore.

Still, it’s 33c and not a cloud in the sky here in Cabo Roig - not expecting any rain any time soon...😄

I’m preparing a BBQ late tonight to coincide with the blood moon - hopefully it doesn’t rain until after that although I can just do it under the pergola if it does.
Hoping for a good lightning show this weekend, may disconnect the routers this time though as my AirPort Extreme got fried a few months ago when we had the last lightning storm.
How about not having a sig at all?

Here's hoping it works out well for food under the moon and a good light show later on. Don't forget to take pics :P

Had the lightning at home 30 minutes ago. It's a lot cooler and overcast now, thank god.

About 30mins of my 45min commute were heading towards sky's which looked like an impending Armageddon.

I've been sat here nearly an hour and other than a bit of a breeze and a couple of rumbles it hasn't really done anything.

I can hear thunder from across the channel. This is a useful map for viewing it

Just had some epic thunder, very loud sharp crack with low rumbling that shakes the house, and a bit o'lightning. A short sharp shower and it's all over :(

We had the most amazing storm I've ever seen here last night, constant lightning for well over an hour.
