Inspired by @Gavster and his "hey guys -this is useful, actually no it isn't" gadget review...



Our washing machine door won't rest open - the hinge is designed so it gently swings fully open unless it's latched. It gets in the way if you leave it fully open of course, and looks all of teh stoopid whilst doing so. But keeping it latched all the time keeps it damp inside and over time - makes it start to smell like a badger's bottom.

I bought one of these recently off the bay, and it's worked surprisingly well. The magnets could be stronger - the German Shepherd can knock it open occasionally when passing - but it generally works, doesn't look too stoopid when fitted, and keeps your washer smelling like a summer meadow.

On the Gadgets That Are Actually Useful scale (0-10) I rate it 8.5 GTAAU

Dog/cat grooming brush- you put water in it and it emits a plume of cool vapour (despite them calling it a steam brush)

Goes through tobys fur lovely, the mist keeps it lubricated. You can apparently put oils in it too but I’ve never bothered

And it cost about £2 off of the questionable ethically but dirt cheap Temu

I really dislike unnecessary kitchen gadgets so this is is a hard fought recommendation. It’s a genius piece of equipment. If you ever need to core a pineapple then these make the process soo simple and quick. Available from the usual Chinese tat stores (Temu, TikTok Shop etc) for a few quid

Repost from the fleet thread- this has been great in the van, wireless CarPlay and a reversing camera from TikTok. Sends audio by aux or built in fm transmitter. Cheaper than a new head unit and the dashboard doesn’t need butchering.
