The most memorable part of this 911 journey you've taken Dave is just how bloody gutsy the 3.4 is! I always had it in mind as something of the perfumed ponce edition, but was totally wrong.

I was surprised by it. It’s a fucking weapon. GG’s 2 generation newer 3.8S is only 0.7s quicker. You have to row it along on the gearstick, though, but that’s a huge part of the fun.

Messing about following my mate’s Turbo S showed up how peaky it the 3.4 is, especially out of corners, but he couldn’t use full throttle very often whereas I was raping the shit out of mine and enjoying every second of it.
