Birmingham Wheels

Post by Jobbo »

Yes, venue for at least one forum karting meet, quite a lot of years ago, is definitely no more. The site has just been sold to Birmingham City FC and will doubtless be redeveloped into their new stadium: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/m ... m-28897129

Apparently it has been closed since 2021, presumably not helped by COVID.

Oh....well I was just chatting to the guys at work only today about arranging a karting session and we talked about Bham Wheels. Guess we can scrub that as an option!

TBH it's been a few years since I was there last....but assumed it was still open!

That's a shame. Though what's even more of a shame is they clearly gave me a kart with a worn engine, which robbed me of what would have been a glorious podium finish.

But like the Murphy’s, you’re not bitter.

Does anyone have a copy of that photo of Tim in his racing overalls, stationary?
