85. All your work left behind for others to see. That’ll do,

RIP.

(I always thought the Miura looked good, without looking stunning. When I saw one in the metal however - I was totally aligned that it’s a masterpiece) 8-)

What a back catalogue. The BX is still a massive favourite of mine.

Nice palmares.

But I had to google this one and I wish I hadn't.
Ferrari Rainbow
Maybe it made sense at the time ? Using one of those as a donor to make a Fiero replica would be a good upgrade.

I mean, I think it'd look stupid on the road, but as a design, it's clear that whatever he was thinking, he fucking meant it. It's not half hearted, is it?

Decent list, but could he design a corsa ashtray?

My dad had a bx. It’s impossible to divorce my feelings about what constitutes a car from those formative childhood memories but doubtless he had a hand.

I know everyone raves about the Miura, but the 5 turbo is my personal favorite followed by the Shamal, I guess it's the boxy arch thing.

I had to Google the Renault Magnum, wasn’t expecting it to be the lorry! But it’s still a cool looking lorry.

And the derivative new electric 5 is still easily my favourite new small EV of the moment - design enduring even through re-interpretation.

Or an MG exhaust trim? Eh? I don’t think he has *that* claim to fame.

RIP to an absolute legend. What a body of work. What a legacy.

Ferrari Rainbow rather similar to a Subaru XT! I recognise the rear light shape from a Japanese coupe but can't place it... Help me out!

RIP. That's quite a list - I count myself very lucky to have owned some of them, including an inherited BX. As Beany says, pretty much all these designs show a huge and admirable level of commitment - if you look at the squared-off front wheel arch on the BX (and the Rainbow), it's very similar to the Countach S (or the Silhouette). If I had to pick a favourite, it would be this:Image

I had Top Trumps Prototype Super Cars in the 70's and a lot of the cars featured were his work.

An amazing body of work. RIP.

Zero for me also.

Closest I get is that my SuperStrada shared the engine & gearbox with the X1/9....
