Watched a video by shifting metal only a couple of weeks ago where he predicted this and worse saying they'd be gone entirely soon.
Reports of misdescribed cars with obvious damage being sold and rejected, people abusing the 14 day distance selling regulations to use what amounted to a free hire car for a holiday, seemed that while we were locked down the model would work but in a normal world it was crap and suicidal.
I prefer to inspect and drive my purchases of that size (except in the obvious case of the tvr punt, but that was a one off) but I guess they thought the post 2000s laziness/too hard pile syndrome would play into their hands, seems not.

They worked in an environment where there was a desperate grab for new cars and where people couldn’t walk around a dealership.
I’m amazed it lasted aswell as it did.

Didn’t they have stupidly low margins? Like £100 per car and that’s taking into account any prep they had to do.
