We don't need wipers where we're going...
How about not having a sig at all?

Then a very posh covered trailer.

Are those RWB cars actually any good ? They always look like they must be using mahoooosive wheel spacers and are going to drive like crap.

It will turn them into ungrateful spoilt twats though. Some will say £100k won’t buy them a house, some will say that others are already wealthier so they deserve more, some will fritter it away and ask for more… if most are responsible and sensible there will still be some who get upset despite being the recipients of generosity.

There's not many of my friends or family that actually need money - they're not massively wealthy, but they aren't the sort to need loads more. You hear all sorts of stories about some families and their petty squabbles over things like inheritances etc and it's about as far from us as you can get.

I have a couple of close mates that I would want and need to manage any gifting (like getting them a house rather than giving them a house amount of money) - but I don't think there'd be many issues in general - if anything, id have trouble getting most to accept anything I expect.

It would be a worry in the back of my mind though regardless.

I remember reading about this long time back (I've probably still got a window open where I've forgotten to post it  ); would this do for an estate car? https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/ds24 ... 820/photos

Maybe better to buy the houses for family, but keep them in some tax efficient vehicle so they don’t own them but live there mortgage-free and only have to pay bills?
Cheers,

This is what we need to do for my mother-in-law. We want to make sure she's well housed without actually giving her a house (less she sell it and spend the money on more piss poor life choices).

I have been daydreaming about my car collection and think I’ll need a mix of Tuthill, Prodrive, PDD and Chip Foose to work for me to get what I want.

Dave!
Ah yes, probably the first large cash deposit would be to Mr Tuthill for my 911K, get on the list.

That’s the sort of consideration which it’s a shame to have to think about but absolutely real.

I’d need the 6x6 station wagon as I collect insanely expensive AMG split rims from across Europe.

At least be a little practical.

Would do. Bit of a Jobbo interior on the billiard room though.

Unlikely that my perfect home exists so I'd probably be building my own. Therefore I'd be land shopping rather than house shopping.

I wouldn't go mahoosive on a house to be honest. something modern with 7 or 8 bedrooms (so the whole family can stay) would be ideal with a few different reception rooms, home cinema, Gym and nice outdoor space, outdoor kitchen for BBQ'ing etc

Something like this which is a few miles away...

Very nice although you need somewhere for the staff imo.
