Have fiat just admitted in the most obvious way possible that their new 500 looks worse than the model it replaced?

Is the ‘new’ fiat 500 already old enough that a current version styled to look like it is retro?

I’m confused, I thought the new Fiat 500 was EV only
Didn’t realise they still make the old one alongside, in which case only the rear lights are different?
