Midlife Crisis Cars

Post by Matty »

https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/car ... -cars.html

No suprises on No1 or 2....both the Alfa Spider at 9??? And the Evora at number 10 is an odd one, given that the majority of people I speak to have never even heard of one, let alone consider it's existance to count on this list to put it above cars like the MX5 or Golf GTi.

But it's This Is Money, so it's more likely this is all bullshit.

There's no context there.

The reality is many of those would have had interesting stuff prior to kids/wife messing it up and then they get back on the horse when the kids are grown up or their wife has left 😂😎

Looks like a top 20 list of decent cars which are likely to have a cunt call you out as having a midlife crisis for owning one because they’re jealous. That’s my take on it anyway.
How about not having a sig at all?

^ That, with a side of "isn't it obvious? :? " to the people being asked.
There needs to be a second part to articles like these with the answers to a second question they should be asked; "what does your car say about you?". Maybe a third part, matching what you want your car to say to the car that people view saying that.

SJ's evidently been hit hard :(

Just because you're on the list  :P but yeah, I think they'd want a Macan EV because of its "dynamic and dominant" styling

Well I would say a mid life crisis is a male thing, and evoques are the pompous thinks-she’s-something-she’s-not stereotypical woman’s car around here

This list could also be labeled as “cars you can only afford to insure once you’re past 40”

Adrian Newey has (had) two California - the one before the Portofino. His/hers and both were used regularly.. said they drove better than they looked. 🤷‍♂️

I doubt t here's any "modern" ferrari that drives badly. They are a bit "selling sunset" though - colour coordinated with the owners nails and bag....

Are we sure nothing’s been lost in translation? Adrian Newey has a pair of Ferrari 250s - one of which is a California.
I’d be disappointed if he had the newer one as I think it’s just a crap design
