Weird car wants.

Looking for a comfy diesel auto for the new comute and S Classes keep popping up. A LOT of car for not much cash, I have no reason for one but I do want one...
Oh without doubt, I had one as a loan car for a month while my 330 was being repaired, great on fuel too but they are huge! I have no idea what running costs would be apart from fuel...DeskJockey wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 2:07 pm Not sure it is such a weird want. If you need to spend long hours on a motorway there are probably few more comfortable options.
I am tempted, it can be a nod to turning 50...Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:24 pm Do it ! I would. I probably will one day when I'm old enough for a Merc
I'll be fifty later this year but I'm still not convinced I'm old enough.Zonda_ wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:28 pmI am tempted, it can be a nod to turning 50...Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:24 pm Do it ! I would. I probably will one day when I'm old enough for a Merc

I'm 70 and still consider my Cayman to be a sensible 2 door hatchback.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 4:32 pmI'll be fifty later this year but I'm still not convinced I'm old enough.Zonda_ wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:28 pmI am tempted, it can be a nod to turning 50...Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:24 pm Do it ! This job has taken a long time to stsrt due to security clearance. I knew I was starting a long time ago.Rich B wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 8:01 pm You seem to be always changing cars to suit a new job/commute! Do you change jobs often or am I just getting old and time is passing quickly?
I can't work out if buying selling cars based on getting specific roles (rather than when you get bored of or want a new car) is a good thing or a bad thing.
Depending on what clearance you need and what you already have that can take a very long time.Zonda_ wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 8:17 pmThis job has taken a long time to stsrt due to security clearance.
