I was driving to drop youngest off at his mum's house and had this happen around us. Watch the black SUV joining from the right. Then check out the manouver by the MG.
After I passed, the SUV pulled straight out into the path of the MG. Sadly my dashcam is a potato.

Hou can see their attitudes with the way they drive
“You will let me out”
“You will not get in my way”

People pulling across a lane like that piss me off as well, but why put yourself in a compromised position because of it?
"Right of way! Right of way!1!!!!11!!!111111!"

I'm sure the Highway Code would tell me I'm wrong to do it but I would generally let those sorts of folks out - mainly because it's unfair on the traffic coming the other way who'll ultimately get blocked until someone lets them in.
I'm happy to add 5 seconds to my journey to keep everyone moving.
Though I completely get why this is not likely to be the popular view on here...

Same here, as Id also prefer to follow them at a safe distance than have them sat 10cm from my rear bumper.

I frequently find myself pulling over to let people get to their next accident more quickly. I generally don't hang around so there's always space behind them to drop back in.

Sorry Jimmy, that wasn't intended as a dig at you at all. Hope it didn't come across that way.
I think as I've got older, I've got a lot more defensive in my driving and patient of idiots. I don't shout or rant at people or flash headlights etc. I now just let the idiots get in with their idiocy while staying well out of their way and mutter "dickhead" under by breath...
I'm a lot more patient these days on the motorway's too - Cruise Controlled 76 mph is now my warp speed. It's funny because 20 or 25 years ago, in a car that probably wasn't safe to do so (Volvo 440 1.8i) , I'd try to keep it at 99mph on the M6 heading north ( to avoid an instant ban). Now in a car that's probably comfortable at 120 or 130, I stick to 76. Or course, traffic volumes and the rise of speed cameras has a lot to do with this also.
