They were barely more expensive to buy than an S1 Elise at one point, FFS.
Probably the owner going home in it.....I bet it did sound good, its got a 305hp NA honda in the back 8-)
I imagine so - the driver was vaping so I assumed it wasn't you  I always liked the sound of the VHPD but this was a step beyond. But hey, I spent the day following Duncs around recently so know how good your work sounds 8-)

:P
If you work really hard and save your pennies, maybe you can get get a slot for HPE Automotive to finish it for you. Their work is very good. I know the owner and can have a word if you like.

I assumed it was the Renaultsport Megane Cup in the photo

Great example of how expensive cars have gone as they were £23k basic in 2016/17!

It got reorganised into alpine and now as the megane is electric only in a weird too-big-to-be-a-hatchback/too-small-to-be-an-suv body style the last proper Renaultsport model has ended and now exists as rs-line branded white goods cars now. Shame as they did some of the best fwd chassis work ever to have existed

Sorry I forgot to actually point that out.

Yep its a megane 275 Cup - S with LSD and Recaro seats. Sports cat and titanium Akrapovic exhaust, AST5100 dampers. 305hp and 350lb ft.

The rear seats hadn't just been folded down when I collected it, they'd been removed entirely! So you can imagine how fast it was. I've put them back in now though.

How's the torque steer? That's a chunk of power/torque for a scrabbler - though tbh, my GTI had 245bhp and 273 torques (and an LSD) and that was fine. We've come on a fair way from the olden days of high power fwd!

Non existent, not even a hint of it. I was thinking exactly the same when I was driving it home, it feels like another 100hp wouldn't trouble it at all which is very odd for a wrong wheel drive car.

Driving buddy had a Cup with some mapping work done - from memory it was around 330bhp :?:

He rated it highly and brought it on a couple of Highland drives - despite having several more ostensibly exotic options to choose from in his garage.

Great colour. Not sure about the decal on the splitter mind!

Did you sell the S2K or have you kept that?

Interesting, my Megane 250 Cup (2010 model, 305bhp) had some noticeable torque steer iirc. The diff was great in the corners though.

Yeah I’ll probably de sticker it. I almost bought a trophy but really hated the idea of the stripes up the side.

Still got the Honda for now but will sell it if a buyer comes along.

Yours was on 19’s, my 250 (with 300hp) and this one are both on 18’s, I wonder how much impact that has.
