I was just looking at clips of this on X. The one with the birds going through the wormhole is mind blowing!

Indeed but there are loads of acts who would be brilliant there.

Pink Floyd would have gone nots with that venue…

There’s one planned for Stratford - once the NIMBY’s are overcome

This cost $2 billion in America and was funded by a few of the casinos. Not sure where the money will come for it here and then if they do make it tickets will probably be £1000 😂

😂 - the London one.

Apparently it’s planned to be an exact copy. It will no doubt, be funded by one of the Oil Sheiks

However, the plan to put adverts on the outside… near to residential areas, mean it’ll probably not see the light of day

I hate it tbh, the outside is obnoxious and the inside just encourages the crazy excess that is pushing tickets to unaffordable levels.

Thats why Vegas is great, it's no holds barred excess and daftness. Nothing in Vegas is designed to be understated or subtle - there's plenty of other places in the world to go if you want that.

Aye, I get it in Vegas. It would look ridiculous in London though.

A circular venue sounds like it’ll have only one seat with perfect acoustics.

We have tickets for Sunday night, they're playing all of Achtung Baby which is one of my favourite albums ever. Ticket price? $130 each for standing.

Trying to avoid spoilers but have seen a few of the videos which look mind blowing. Will be great to see how different acts use the audio and video technology inside.
Cheers,

Mike.

Looks mind blowing, an amazing use of tech and I can’t wait for the one in Stratford. I’m only a mile away and the whole Olympic park, Westfield and surrounding areas are maturing into a really lovely part of town. The Olympic park is a fantastic design. The new V&A, Sadlers Wells, BBC, UAL and UCL sites in the park are very cool and a walk through the park along the river at night gives Singapore vibes. My new office is in the Olympic media centre, I get a nice view of the park and the cycling centre ‘Pringle’

Just one thing. Isn't the inside of a ball terrible for acoustics?

I think so, but there's lots of fancy beam-forming technology at play and 167,000 drivers - they've said its like having dedicated speakers for groups or even individual seats so in theory you could have different areas listening to different music/language depending on what's being shown.
Cheers,

Mike.
