E-Phantom
Re: E-Phantom
Meh.
Re: E-Phantom
None of the options is sufficiently meh.
Re: E-Phantom
I am put in mind of Adam and Joe's excellent jingle for Text The Nation:
Re: E-Phantom
On the whole, cars before the 60s or so don't really interest me - so go for it, slap a jet engine on it if you want.

Re: E-Phantom
I don’t hate it, but I don’t really want it either.
Even given lots of money and lots of space I doubt I’d have anything prewar unless it was a hotrod or could find my grandads old sunbeam I played in as a child.

I think it’s a good idea, the engines were nothing special back then, they are a twat to start and in the modern world are dangerously slow.

Re: E-Phantom
A few cars are defined by their engine.
But most aren't, EV conversions all good to get them on the road rather than locked away.
Can't help but feel sad that my mum's 1960 Pug 203 that rotted away in the shed with a seized piston would have been an ace EV.

That will be a squeaky rattle noisy car now that the engine thrum and noise is gone. I just don’t get it at all.
They were incredibly reliable and beautifully made in their day.
