He's raffling his M5 Competition for £9.95 per ticket... and posted a long video rebutting haters, about how this is what he's always done, how it gives everyone a chance, yada yada.

Feels a bit disingenuous, because with 1.6M followers, he's gonna bank wayyy more than the £40k or whatever the car is worth.

Just to be clear, I don't have a problem with people making profit just don't pretend it's altruistic. He'd be better off saying, "by doing this raffle, I'll be able to plough all of your money into the next project car, so the more tickets we sell, the bigger the next project" and leave it there.

Every raffle he's ever done has made more than the car is worth - he makes no secret of it. He's stated many times before that he ploughs it back into the channel - which is pretty believable when you look at the cars he's bought.

Maybe he's just annoyed at the haters in the comments then. I see it sometimes with other big creators, they see all the negative comments and feel wronged by them, and want to respond to them, to prove them wrong. Makes for dull content IMO, it's far easier just to ignore the hate and negative comments, as soon as anyone gets a decent following they suddenly appear, but there's no point wasting any energy on them.

he's done the same on every single raffle he's ever done, it's become a bit of a "thing" for his raffle videos.

On previous draws with set numbers of entries he's even broken down the full costs - how much the raffle company gets, how much he gets, etc... go and watch the golf one or the M4 one - I'm sure one of them has the full breakdown.

What proportion of the 1.6m subscribers actually buy a ticket? I certainly wouldn't.

You don't have to wait long to find out.

He literally says in the video that any money he makes he puts back into the channel.

yeah, you're right!

He's always up front about everything and he's also donated stuff to people before. He often has questionable taste (that Liberty Walk car was a fucking abomination), but he seems like a genuine guy.

That matt black wrap on the range rover was fucking awful as well. Especially after a full respray as it looked great.

I've never watched any of his vids. I love the M5 Comp, but they are such Q-cars I have no idea why you'd want to fit a "LOOK AT ME COPS!" exhaust to one.

On a side note, do you really think M5s are in any way Q car-ish? they look like a 600bhp super saloon from any distance.

Compared to competitors like the RS6 - absolutely.

Is this a car he has re built? I’m not sure I would want something for which there is public record of a catastrophic flaw being built in.
