I should comfortably hit my 650 kilo target though, I’m starting to think I might go for 600 instead.

It’s missing bodywork and a wiring loom. The engine and box are full of fluids but my engine is over 20 kilos lighter than Duncs’ because of the trick internals.

Is there a weight difference between the two engines & boxes?
What happens to the poor old Rover K ?

It's good below 3k, quite quiet relatively speaking. I've found the sweet spot for cruising though town in a 30 is 5th. You can listen to music and everything!

You can have a conversion with a passenger in it, so it's better than the Caterham!

That's with 20L of fuel in it on collection day.

When I put the obligatory Tilletts in it and a couple of other bits, should come down a smidge.

If that was mine, I'd never be able to go out for lunch as I'd feel bad adding the weight of the food.

I'd also be on the laxatives before taking it out.

I think Dan said it was geared for something like 170mph in 6th. Would be interesting to see what it would do, but I don't really fancy testing the aero at that speed.

S2 Bilsteins, rides pretty well, but probably will upgrade to adjustable at some point.

I wasn't overly impressed with my Nitron NSS. They were cheap in relation to the other options (I think I only paid about £600) but were pretty crashy on anything other than smooth roads. Issue is the S2 Bilstein's are really very good for the shitty British roads.
(Important edit due to terrible memory - IIRC Dan did tell me I might want to soften the setting on personal preference and don't think I ever did...so yeah, that needs to be considered... )

To offer some balance the NSS were excellent IMO on mine. I did do some extensive dicking about with settings. Found a pretty decent set of settings for road and track. I drove it a couple of weeks back on track again and can confirm that it’s still epic. Did a bit of instruction for my mate Craig who bought it off me. It’s just so well balanced.

Nitron street series changed drastically over the years they produced them so that may account for some of the different experiences.

Out of the box Quantum are better on lighter models, Nitron can't get the valving right for light cars but their build quality is excellent, which is why I have them on my car albeit completely custom valved to suit my setup.
