Festival of the Unexceptional

Not dead, just posting because there may be general interest in this. For the last few years I've seen photos afterwards so thought I'd quite like to attend this year. I saw that it's the last Saturday of this month so went to the website and it turns out they've sold out of tickets.
But tickets are for people bringing in their car, so I would have thought there's a way to attend purely as a visitor who does not have an old Morris Marina (or whatever) to bring. Anyone have any idea?
