£100
In my head it's still a lot of money.
I have to keep reminding myself that it's less than a tank of petrol, and slightly prompted by DaveE's update, it's about half an hour's labour at a Porsche dealer. It's not "a lot" of money.

Re: £100
I have ten times that in my bank account ATM, but I still stop and think "ooh, should I get the half decent beer or the cheap stuff"
Weirdly, the car is getting low and I have no problem throwing £95 of super in it.
Proper in a weird place with money these days

Re: £100
Yes the sad thing is this years £100 was £90 last year and probably £85 the year before. Shows how things deteriorate rapidly with rampant inflation.
Basically central bankers thought they were clever little shits post 2008 and calling money printing QE would stop the inflationary demon knocking at their door. Sadly they aren’t as clever (or at least, as quickly reactive) as they think they are and we are straight back into the mid 1970s of economic policy.
Just wait until the upcoming millions of homeowners have to remortgage at 6% - it’s going to be progressively more vicious for everyone.

Re: £100
I remember when I were a young lad back in 2020 the Tesla cost less than £5 to supercharge. Now it’s £30. That’s probably the most drastic increase. At least petrol took a decent while to increase 6 fold whilst being taxed to buggery.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: £100
I paid approx £43 for approx 200 miles of range at a charger station this week. Robbing cnuts.
Re: £100
That's 21.5p per mile in fuel costs alone. Plus other car running costs.... Whereas I put petrol in my car at 140.9 this week and the very easy 40mpg it achieves is 16p per mile, and at least the government gets a good chunk of that money in taxation rather than the shitting energy companies.

Inflation is a cunt, although I've been thinking lately that there's so much crap that we've been persuaded we 'need' nowadays that of you take a step back and think about the things you actually need/want/are important you can probably offset a lot of the cost of living stuff by cancelling a few subscriptions.

Yep. It's a right fiddle this electric car nonsense. Expensive motoring.Simon wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2023 8:05 am That's 21.5p per mile in fuel costs alone. Plus other car running costs....
