Interestingly on the marriage note, my gf and I both have a significant avoidant attitude to marriage, which is something to treasure.

I'm currently in a relationship where we both need time alone, time with our respective kids, time on our own projects/adventures and time together. It's working quite nicely.

I was looking at mortgages last night, thinking about saving up etc. For somewhere that I could rent for £800/PCM, a mortgage with a £20k deposit over 30 years would be £1100/month.
