Met with disappointment as it was placed on the drive but I have to say I have been left massively surprised and much better than the Tucson before it.
The good:
-Lovely pointy steer and great to chuck into the corners. Had a blast on the country lanes.
- Punchy & fizzy engine, helped with mild hybrid (circa 150bhp combined iirc). Felt like a genuine < 8 elephants to 60 - supposed to be nearer 9.5.
- Even approach 50k miles, most of which I imagine have been hard it felt tight a as a drum
- Decent box to stir
- Relatively refined at motorway speeds (500m round trip)
- Adaptive cruise, carplay, lane assist etc.
The bad:
- Looks pants
- Infotainment sub-standard, carplay/android auto but it wouldn't work on all the phones tried (iphone + Oneplus) . Just felt dated.
- Too many buttons and all over the shop
- Seats uncomfortable after 2 hours but still better than the Tucson (<1 hour).
