Can you tell what it is yet?

Yes, it's a coffin.

Reminds me of a chap who had a small windfall from inheritance and decided to invest £15k in 2 Rolf Harris paintings.

Wonder what they are worth now?

Apparently a chain of galleries had quite a substantial investment in Rolfs and had a bit of financial instability when values tanked.

etc.

Utterly baffling in a truly sickening way, how these guys got away with what they did, for so long.

My uncle worked with him on a couple of TV projects and said he was an arsehole of a man, away from the cameras.

Had to feel sorry for his family. I used to ride past his house on the opposite bank of the Thames most days, on the day of his sentencing there were loads of paparazzi in the trees and sat in boats waiting for a pic, his daughter was at the end of the garden trying to get rid of them.

From Popbitch:
As reports have since confirmed, Rolf actually died back on May 10th. This news didn't catch Fleet Street on the hop though. They had reporters parked outside his place that same day trying to stand the story up.

Even though one camera crew was convinced they'd spotted a bodybag being removed from the house, they couldn't get confirmation on who was actually in it. The family remained tight-lipped as they were keen to avoid any Savile-esque desecration drama, and because even the most hardened PR wouldn't touch the grizzly old paedo with a ten-foot press release, there was no-one reporters could approach for a statement.

This resulted in a media-wide stand-off between a gaggle of hacks and a man they were 99.9% convinced was dead, with no-one ever quite feeling confident enough to hit "Publish" on the obituary.

Which is why everyone ended up running all those "Rolf Harris Gravely Ill" articles the weekend before last – two days after he'd actually snuffed it...

Erm, so have there been paparazzi camping outside his house for what must be years just waiting for him to die?!

Yes, it's a nice Rolf painting of London which I found over the weekend. Goes really well in the meeting room at the office. Was not expensive but it's a lovely picture and you have to separate the art from the artist.

I'm a fellow of Churchill college. We have some of old Winston's paintings on display.

They're... well they aren't dreadful. Sort of A-level art standard. Some flowers and a seascape, that sort of thing.

But they are by far and away the most valuable art the college owns. Moreso than the Warhol.
