Re: Our press
Yeah, not sure when you think the press didn’t have opinion/perspective to suit their readers… always been this way imho.
Read multiple sources and make your own decision; it’ll be biased towards your beliefs but it’s probably be more accurate than just reading the clickbait headlines

Re: Our press
records began in 2001... should they not have been monitoring these things a little earlier than that?Mito Man wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2023 9:11 am Not our news but this was recently brought up in twitter again about the news just selling a story on a headline

Re: Our press
Remember, we must bury horrible history as we are far too educated in this modern world for history to repeat itself.

Re: Our press
Regardless surely the headline should be “…at highest level since 2001” rather than leaving people to imagine for a moment that Germany has gone full Nazi again.Rich B wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2023 9:20 amrecords began in 2001... should they not have been monitoring these things a little earlier than that?Mito Man wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2023 9:11 am Not our news but this was recently brought up in twitter again about the news just selling a story on a headline

I'm on hols so just checking nothing important is going on. Clearly not.
Was Phil sacked?

Re: Our press
I look at Reuters when I want to read news (rather than just skim headlines).
Dull to read, but the lack of character is the cost of minimising bias and maximising factual accuracy IMHO.

Re: Our press
Yeah Reuters and AP are usually pretty reliable. It's what a lot of the other news sites base their stories on.
An absolute unit
Re: Our press
Yeah I try to access multiple sources and form my own opinions on things. It's the only way really.
Re: Our press
The Week is the only news source that I've enjoyed in the long term, largely because it aggregates a well-educated opinion from amongst all the other fluff out there.
Re: Our press
I get the majority of my news from here.
Re: Our press
Al Jazeera is quite good or the Malta Times.

This is my press
