Just saw your FB post. You moving away from TikTok??

(*) - I, for one, welcome our Chinese overloads…

Not so much moving away, simply starting to prioritise the platforms which actually reward their creators

There's a few reasons behind that. TT is a great place to build and audience and learn content creation skills. However, TT expect creators to make money by selling cheap tat on the TT shop and I'm not doing that. There's no in-video ad revenue payments and the creator fund is a pittance. Also, brand deals are lower value on TikTok as it's notoriously difficult to drive sales/conversions there.

Meanwhile, Facebook and YouTube have very good monetisation schemes for creators, facebook is also the biggest social media platform, and now that I have a fairly advanced understanding of how to make content, it makes sense to post on those platforms primarily. To be honest, there won't be any drastic changes for a while and all platforms will still get the same content, however, I will start putting up content on FB and YT around 3-5 days ahead of TT.

Your age is no reason to leave, one of the largest grown demographics on TikTok is over 30s

This. I’ve only just discovered your stuff on there. Quite enjoying your reviews of the vegan vs meat stuff. I quite enjoy the odd bit of the plant based stuff so it’s nice to see an unbiased viewpoint rather than this is plant you must eat this instead of that

I keep seeing your videos popping up on tiktok as 'someone you may know' which is kind of creepy. Will lookout for you on the other platforms!

Here's a link YooToob, I'm starting to work with a video editor, which means that (hopefully) in the coming month or so, there will be some longer (~10 min) videos which will go up there first.

That's good to hear, I'm trying to be as natural as possible. I've also started doing a scoring system for the next videos, and it's had a slightly unexpected outcome, in the video I filmed yesterday, the product which won is something I probably wouldn't buy lol.

The TikTok algorithm is without doubt the absolute best of any platform, because it seems to know intricate details about our lives and subconscious throughts.

In keeping with some of @Gavster content, I've been eating a nice chunk of Wensleydale (with cranberries) over the last week. I bought it in the run up to Crimbo and it had a 23rd Dec expiry date. It's been absolutely perfect.

You content has made me happier eating certain stuff well beyond its date. Stuff like houmous with a 3 day use by is nonsense. 9 days is the longest I've had it open for and it's been tip top.

I'll probably end up shitting myself when I go too far with it but let's see
