The ongoing X5 saga

They have so far at the 5th attempt and having had it for 6 weeks this time have been unable to fix the X5.
So after discussion I’m going to meet the sales manager tomorrow with a view to changing it for something else.
At this point it needs to come from Arnold Clark. Has to be an estate/suv for the dags. Probably a BMW but other marques could be a possibility.
There are a couple of 330d options but none have particularly high specs.
Budget circa £30k.
This is the lords work fellow forumites. What should I buy?

I was looking earlier for an A6 estate in Sportsy trim with a 6-pot diseasel. A dismal one in stock - which is way above budget unfortunately.

Sad times, XC60/90 or an f-pace with v6? I liked the f-pace I drove. No idea what the steer is like on the Volvos but they look good imo.

Recommending a JLR product after this level of unreliability is just cruel.

I test drove an F-Pace before buying the X5. The infotainment was so shit it would have frustrated the life out of me. Which was a bit of a disappointment.

In this situation, that’s not your problem.
