As mentioned previously - whilst the HID lights on the Evora are good (particularly since I upgraded to the Osram Nightbreaker HID bulbs) you can never have enough light for night driving - particularly when pressing on a bit.

You can now get some really tidy “motorcycle” LEDs though. Stedi make some 25W spot lights, but at 500g each I think they would be a bit chunky. I am looking at their smaller 10W MCX10 versions hungrily though. “Driving” as opposed to “spot” means a 10Degree beam angle - so in addition to the lower output the beam spread is wider…. But at only 200g I reckon I might be able to hang these off the grille so they didn’t stick out beyond the bumper section (just above the front plate).

1. Not sure the grille will take the ongoing stress from two 200g lumps hung on it for an extended time.
2. Is it stoopid to mess about with lights on canbus systems? I see folks with light bars on modern stuff so assume it isn’t a complete no-no? Would draw 1.7a more than existing full beams - possibly avoiding the need for a loom.

Number plate mount- point the mounting plate in over if you’ve got enough depth, then mount either the little ones you’ve suggested or an appropriate sized lightbar

Would they even be useful that low down ?

Not a bad idea, but the plate curves so that pulsar work. Weirdly however I have posted the same Q on the Lotus forum, and had just added a comment suggesting that they might work better montes on the rear of the ply th for the plate, peering over the top.of the plate

A couple of individual L brackets would probably work in which case, bolt the individual lights to them and screw the number plate over the top to hide them

Same place as the driving lights on the S1. They made a decent difference. HOWEVER - you have the xenons already so IMO dont fuck with both the bodywork and the electrics. Fucking with the electrics seems to be a particularly stoopid idea on a loltus.
