It's always good to have something to look forward to, especially when it involves cars and getting out of the house. Thanks for the link, I have booked April and also the Japanese Assembly on the 29th. Heard good things about the scramble.

In April, I am planning to attend the Ultimate BMW Meet in Gayden and possibly also Japfest at Silverstone.

I am lucky that there are quite a few events local to me, I regularly go to Caffeine and Machine, Shelsley Breakfast Club, Gilks cafe, Baffle Haus, Wheels on wednesday and Coffee & Chrome on a Sunday morning.

Ive got tickets for this too.. see you there! I'm also a GRRC member and will probably do MM and Revival this year.

I was looking at all the tours available, there are GRRC ones to the Alps, IoM and Ireland (£1599 pp ish I think). I considered doing the DTO Portimao, but it was £5950 pppd! There's also this outfit that was recommended to me https://motorsporttraveldestinations.com/en . Not silly prices.

I'd love to do a Peter Auto tour.. just need a 1960s Ferrari or something similar.

Go for at least 2 days of the Goodwood revival, it makes the festival of speed quite redundant.

Agree - Revival is ahead of FoS for me these days if I could prioritise only one.

Typically, having suggested the Bicester Scramble, I am going away for my 50th on 23 April so can't attend myself. Annoying; would have been nice to join a forum meet. Must be years since we've organised anything like that.

Good call. I went to Sinsheim by accident* and it was very good.


* Gavster was going to a conference near Heidelburg so I went along for the road trip. I drove myself down to Stuttgart to visit the Porsche museum while he was doing conference things only to find it was closed for a special event that day. Arse. On the way back to Heidelberg I saw a sign for Technik Museum Sinsheim and popped in for a look. It rescued what was otherwise going to be a write-off of a day.

I enjoy the big events at Brands Hatch, the GT World and Masters Historic are real highlights and I prefer them over Goodwood events tbh.

Same here. Camp for 4 days and get spannered. Good times and was such a laugh!! Similar amount of time since I've been too.

I'd love to do Le Mans or Le Mans Classic this year but I don't think I'll have time.

I used to go to Le Mans every year from being about 15 to 20 something, it was very fun, and we camped just over from the Tertre Rouge, so if it rained we could be floating, but no one cared, mainly because we were all arseholed most of the time.

Had some very and times both whilst there, and on the journeys there and back!

Got my days mixed up, it was Midland Breakfast Club on the weekend...but I thought it was Sunday, but they've moved to Saturday since changing to the Ironworks. Doh.

Will try to make the next one, they always had some interesting stuff.

Such a shame my mate moved from Bicester, his old house is just down the road from the gates.

I've got tickets for Masters Historic Festival at Brands, need to buy tickets for the FIA World Rallycross at Lydden Hill in July. We'll probably do the Monster Truck Nationals at Santa Pod again this year, my kids loved it. I'd love to do Main Event or Euro Finals but only 3 Top Fuel cars at those last year, expense and paperwork put off a lot of the euro teams. Still a good weekend away if you camp.

May make it along to one of the jap/Honda/JDM shows for a bit of club nerdery.
