I'm reading Thomas Dolby's autobiography at the moment and there's a little anecdote about Miles Davis...

Apparently at the time, Miles owned a Ferrari Testarossa and was caught speeding on the Pacific Highway

When it went to court, the judge asked him "Do you have any idea how fast you were going?!"

He replied: "Hey man, I just drive it 'til it sounds good!"

He was a bit of a Playboy Miles Davis - I didn't really realise until I watched the great documentary on him on Netflix. I was a bit of a latecomer to appreciating his music.
