Such a shame. Used to love listening to some faithless at night in the car when I first started driving in the 90s.

A car nut as well :(

People can be sniffy about Faithless but.no denying the quality of some of their tracks. Could probably do without all the plays of Insomnia we're going to hear over the next few days tho...

Spent all that time trying to get some sleep, and when he does, he dies in it - he clearly had no luck!

The BBC Yorkshire FB leader is, and I quote:
The ‘I can’t get no sleep’ singer died ”peacefully in his sleep”.

A shame- I can’t believe he was 65. Seemed like a nice, genuine guy when I met him twenty years ago at The Crypt in Brixton (anyone remember that?). My wife was one of the two backing violins for him on valentines night.

Ah that’s a shame - 65 is no age.

Very sad to hear that 😭 Faithless were part of the soundtrack to my younger clubbing days, Insomnia came out when I was 18 and it was an anthem of those days.

If anything, it’s a pretty stark reminder of our mortality, as the dance music scene isn’t as young as perhaps I like to pretend it is.

Saw them at T in the park in the late 90s, his eyes were like saucers but it made the hair on my arms stand up.

Sad to hear.

I've got a couple of their albums - Reverence and Sunday 8pm. Some great tracks. Like most though, have some great memories in the late 90s of being in clubs and seeing the place go absolutely nuts when Insomnia came on.

Never owned any of their music, but like many on here of a similar age they were part of the soundtrack to my teenage years, and were also Friday night headliners at the first festival I ever went to.
