What seats/rigs do you use? I currently use a Playseat Challenge and while it is extremely comfortable and the whole wheel/pedals and seat have transformed my sim racing I’m looking for something a bit sturdier. Don’t get me wrong, the Challenge is very well built and top quality but I feel it’s aimed more at the younger end of the market, not those of us pushing 50! There are a few times when I’ve gone on the brakes hard and the whole seat will lift off the floor.

I built one out of 40/80 profile, its very similar in design to the simlab GT1 evo but was about half the price to just buy the profile and connection elements and build it myself.

Simlab helpfully have the cad drawings for their rigs on their website so you go to somewhere like https://www.aluminium-profile.co.uk/ and order the profile cut to the right length.

Its got a cheap Motamec bucket seat in it which is very comfortable.

Looks great but diy is out for me sadly due to the damage to my hands.

Nice rig. I especially approve of the mug of tea holder.

I imagine if you bought the proper version it would need just as much assembly. They usually just have T-nuts which slide down the grooves and brackets get bolted into.
