The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

Great stuff!
Although, minor detail. The '89 Rover 200 (R8) became the 1995 Rover 200 (R3) which became the Rover 25 in '99. The R3 had the front end of the R8, but the back (suspension) from a modified Maestro setup. So if you cut the back of '8' you get '3'. Clever huh?

Need to rewatch this today. Fell asleep half way through it last night
Re: Project Binky
Anyone else wince when they put the live cable through a sharp edged metal hole without a grommet?
Awesome as usual though. The working loom all wired up on the floor was particularly satisfying.

Re: Project Binky
I always wondered how you tested a loom - it seems so obvious now
Loved the fabrication of the fuse box carrier

Re: Project Binky
I was waiting for them to put the grommet on, but it wasn't live so it didn't matter.
Experience tells me that despite the fact they tie wrapped it into position it'll be in and out again at least 30 times before they're done.
Re: Project Binky
Childish I know, but the comedy timing around Nick having 'the horn' (parp!) tickled me greatly.
I like that multi-plug disassembly tool that they have. I need one of those!

Re: Project Binky
And the confusion around putting the negative cable on the cut-off switch?

Where did you get it Scott? Need something similar for the quadlock connector on the Fjord.

Electrons move from -ve to +ve. Don’t confuse it with conventional current flow.

Re: Project Binky
Yes, but if you have a running engine and kill the negative then nothing will happen as the running engine will 'ground' the rest of the car anyway...
