Are they getting smaller in out of town shopping places?

Been driving her around today in my car. Impossible to get out without looking like a right spazzer, and that's one side only. Guy next to me in a Mondeo agreed in Chez Vegas. Bah humbug. 😀

I think it’s cars that have got bigger and bay sizes have never been increased to accommodate. My Jag is not a particularly big car but it is longer than each space I leave it in.

Spaces are the same, cars are getting bigger with longer, thicker doors. Plus you’re probably getting older and fatter and less nimble 😃

Most spaces are the same but some are bigger. Not by much though - 2.4m x 4.8m to 2.5m x 5.0m

Yep my XF doesn't seem to fit in any space, 5m x 2.05 m, it's a big old bus, but it's annoying as it always overhangs everywhere.

I'm surprised it's not been bumped yet even though I park as far away as I can from the general public

Its the standard response you expect - like those who buy a new build house with a garage for a car (not a store).

I'd be surprised if any are smaller than the above as it's been the standard for decades. The 2.5x5 is the new standard that some areas have introduced

I would be surprised is no answer. I EXPERIENCE all the time the reality.

Unashamed old Evora content but these spaces at Sainsbury's are great.

Of course it's an answer. If you want a more direct one, I call bullshit on them being smaller than the standard. Pics with a tape measure or else it's bobbins.

Is that the rise you were looking for? ;)

Didn't realise they were that big... that's near as makes no difference the same size as the Range Rover.

Don't ever challenge Brocco's world views, he gets very upset. He's done his own research you know.

Yeah they're a big old bus, I mean it's no Stagea, but it's pretty long.

Yeah I echo this: mine overhung the work parking spaces significantly. I would try and find a corner space in the multistorey so it was less of an issue.

This was something the Boxster was wonderful for, it fitted very easily into parking spaces making it an ideal town car.
