Re: Southern Meet?
Argh. Confliction. 22nd is the date of the Basingstoke Pasture Blaster, which was due to be the first outing for my Compact.
Re: Southern Meet?
Sounds like a cow rustling convention
Is everyone agreed on Sunday 22nd and do we have a plan re times/location?
Re: Southern Meet?
We used to meet at the top of the Ridgeway just off the A34 near East Ilsley. Does that still work?
Re: Southern Meet?
22nd should work for me. Some lovely roads around that way - I used to spend a fair amount of time at Rutherford Appleton Laboratories. Not unheard of for me to take the scenic route home

Location and date are good, 22/7 meeting at the Ridgeway.

Re: Southern Meet?
Unlikely I'll make it guys, don't have much time spare between now and then to get the car back on the road.
If the issues turn out to be minor I might get lucky.

I now have the 22nd free, so I’ll join you fine gents at the not-very-southern meet!
Cheers,

Re: Southern Meet?
I was thinking we’d head west towards Avebury so even less southern - does that work for people?

That's the usual route round that way isn't it? Sounds fine to me.

I’ve not decided yet, it’s either that or a BMW diesel...Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 10:28 amIf you're bringing the F430, that would persuade me to come along in the Aston instead of driving a sh*t old BMW around a field that day !
ETA - more importantly, where are we planning to eat lunch!?
Cheers,

I for one, have never been in a passenger ride in a BMW X5 and therefore I hope you bring that and offer me a ride.
No, wait - that's not the right way round

Lunch, you say? I'm in!
Is anyone else bringing a car that can't beat 11 seconds to 62?

I could bring my van. No idea what the 0-60 is but you can get full sheets of 8x4 in the back.
Re: Southern Meet?
Could come for lunch too I suppose.
